It takes a while to realize that you are just a number in a company. I never liked it when people said, "we are family here" when in reality you could be laid off tomorrow.

Four paragraphs and 12 mentions of shows later (who cares!), they finally got to the point in the announcement letter 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I will never get over the bs that is corp prose. Kudos on your growth since the layoff, Danielle, and best of luck in your career!

I never understood how a company's budget was always a surprise and of course resulted in massive layoffs. Shouldn't that also result in the overhaul of your finance department?
